SMC is a member of the Federation of Centers for Migration Studies (FCMS) "G.B. Scalabrini," which is responsible for the publication of some of the major journals on migration studies. SMC is also a member of the Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN) and Philippine Migrants Rights Watch(PMRW).

Fabio Baggio, PhD

Fabio Baggio, a Scalabrinian Missionary, obtain-ed his Master (1994) and PhD in Church History (1998), with specialization in Contemporary History, from the Pontificia Universitas Gregoria-na in Rome (Italy). Since September 2002, Fabio Baggio is director of the Scalabrini Migration Center (SMC) in Manila, Philippines, and editor of the Asian Pacific Migration Journal (APMJ) and the Asian Migration New (AMN)

Maruja M. B. Asis, PhD

Maruja M. B. Asis obtained her BA in Sociology (1979) and MA in Demography (1984) from  the University of the Philippines and her PhD  Sociology (1989)  from Bowling Green State University. She is Director of Research and Publications of the Scalabrini Migration Center.  She is also Co-Editor of the Asian and Pacific Migration Journal (APMJ) and the Asian Migration News (AMN).

 

Cecilia Ruiz-Marave

Cecilia Ruiz-Marave obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in public health at the University of the Philippines and took masteral units in demography at the UP Population Institute. Since joining SMC in 2003, she has been involved in the publication of the Asian Migration News and in the conduct of migration researches dealing with the health and wellbeing of children.

Ma. Cecilia Villanueva-Guerrero

Ma. Cecilia finished her Bachelor of Arts, major in Sociology at the University of Santo Tomas in 1987. She started working as Research Assistant at the Scalabrini Migration Center in 1990. Currently, she is also designated to handle bookkeeping and other accounting related work at the Center.

Ma. Leonila Domingo

Ma. Leonila Domingo is a B.S. Education (1990) graduate from Divina Pastora College, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija. She started working at Scalabrini Migration Center in 1995 as Typesetter. Over the years, she also helped in library works, downloading of Asian migration news and some office related job.

John Paul B. Asis

John Paul B. Asis is a graduate of B. S. Computer Science (2001) in Filamer Christian College, Roxas City. He started as Research Assistant at the Scalabrini Migration Center in 2006. He is in-charge of the data encoding for various research projects. He also assists in library work and downloading of news on migration.
