CNMI to conduct new immigration checks on incoming foreign workers

According to CNMI Immigration director Melvin Grey, all foreign workers entering the country for the first time would be required to fill out the "authorization for entry" questionnaire in front of immigration officers at the airport. The move is part of local government efforts to curb labor and immigration fraud, including illegal recruitment and human trafficking. The questionnaire is available in English and Chinese and is currently being translated into Filipino as well.
