Three N. Korean refugees leave for the US

After a hunger strike in Bangkok, three North Korean refugees were allowed to leave for the US on 14 April under a 2004 act that orders assistance for refugees fleeing from communist countries. They were part of the 29 North Koreans who held a hunger strike in early April, demanding that they be given passage for asylum in the US. Since the 2004 act was signed by President George Bush, the US had accepted about 47 North Koreans.
