Muscat: Workers violating the labour law were arrested by the Ministry of Manpower and other authorities last week.

According to the weekly index report issued by the ministry, of 554 workers arrested between 6 and 12 November 2016, 432 were commercial sector workers, followed by 71 domestic workers and 51 agricultural sector workers.

Muscat: Over 400 labour law violators were arrested during last week, according to the weekly index issued by the Ministry of Manpower.

“454 labour law violators were arrested during the period between August 7 and 13. Among them, there were 353 commercial workers, 45 farmers and 56 domestic workers,” the statement from the ministry added.
