MANILA - Remittances sent by Filipinos working abroad fell for the first time in 12 years in August.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said cash remittances in August hit $2.04 billion, 0.6 percent lower than the $2.06 billion in the same month last year.
