DENPASAR, Indonesia – Authorities have stopped a suspected human trafficking attempt at Ngurah Rai Airport in Bali and returned the alleged victims to East Nusa Tenggara Province, according to media reports.

JAKARTA, Jan. 31 — Indonesian Manpower and Transmigration Minister Muhaimin Iskandar said on Thursday the government is undergoing talks about a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the placement and protection of Indonesian workers working in Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Germany, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand and Kuwait.

Indonesia has rescued 22 Sri Lankans after their ship stranded off southern Java Island while apparently sailing for Australia to seek asylum. Two died and one is missing.
