SANA'A, Jan 26 (Saba) – Deputy Interior Minister for Police Services Department Abdul Rahman al Barawi and the IOM representative in Yemen, Fawzi al Zyoud, opened on Wednesday the illegal migrants registration center.

At the opening ceremony, head of the Migration and Passport Authority Abdul Qadir al Ramly stressed the importance of establishing this center to have civilized environment for the registration of illegal migrants and taking necessary measures including examining migrants and deporting those who like to go home.

The center will also help facilitate coordination among organizations concerned about migrant issues, he said, pointing out that the center is an extension to a regional project starting in Kenya and Djibouti.

Yemen highly appreciates the IOM support to enable it cope with all issues of migrants, he added.
